Berry Magnet

This design is similar to the berry that I made for a mouse to hold, but it has strong magnets felted into it. Very easy to make, except that the magnet kept trying to grab onto the steel needle. :)

Three Little Bears

Three little bears from a Martha Stewart pattern. Made from 100% wool and faces worked in embroidery thread. I love their somber little faces!

These were something I worked on during last week's football game. Let's just say that they turned out better than the game. :(

Each bear has a red heart needle felted onto their chest. This is an idea taken from my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls that my mom made when I was little. They both had embroidered hearts on their chests that were just so sweet.

This pup is modeled after my rat terrier's coloration. It has a wire frame covered in wool, with glass bead eyes and a red bead on its collar. I like its happy facial expression. :)

I think this is an ornament ... but if you take off the hanger string, it could just be a nice little softie to play with. His face is based on a children's cake, so it seems logical that he's so cute and sweet. :)

He's made of 100% commercially felted wool with felted ear linings and embroidered features.

Felted 'Shroom

Here is a sweet little mushroom that I turned into an ornament because it can't stand on its own. Not that it would have to be on a Christmas tree, it could hang in any little niche in your home.

It's a white base with a red wool covering on the cap, and white dots of wool added after that. The linen string keeps with the natural theme.

A quickie post about a project that took a bit of time to finish. Well, all the felted projects take hours to finish once they get to the point of having arms and legs ... at least so far for me. This guy was a try at making something not a mouse. :)

His feet and legs are wool over a wire frame, and resulted in a few finger-stabs, but I like the look of them and that he can also hold a small item.

Another cute garden snitch! This time he's in his bear costume and has snagged a tiny pumpkin.

As you can see in the photo below, his head is just about the same diameter of a quarter, and the pumpkin isn't much bigger. See those eyes? They're actually the same brads that I use in my rubber stamping projects. I've been looking for more black brads in the stores near me, but they don't seem to sell them alone ... maybe it's Halloween's crafting influence? Thank goodness for online shopping! :)

OK. I'm addicted. I am now officially a needle felter. This is the little guy that I made after the owl, and he made me squeal when I finished him. Ran in to where hubby was reading in bed and made him look. I don't think he'll ever be able to leave now. Especially since he got a name. Meet Henry.

He's apparently been foraging in my garden and found a strawberry. See the curly que on top? That was a first try at wet felting, along with his tail.

See? He wants to know if he can keep the berry.

With a face like that?! Of course.

I didn't know I was going to become obsessed, but now that I have, I'm starting up a place to catalog my creations. I love seeing where I start with something and how it progresses. Thanks for joining me on the way!
